Is Apollo TV Family Friendly?

Yes – there is no X rated content on the platform. This is a family friendly platform. And there are ratings for all the content so be advised to not let your minors select R rated or MA mature content TV or Movies. There is also a kids genre option when searching for content. 

How long has Apollo Group TV Application been online?

This platform has been operational and online since 2015. There has been no outages, apart from a few incidences for a few hours of downtime – that has been quickly updated / fixed (2-3hr max). We do not offer smaller packages, as users know the performance consistency of the platform.

What is the Payment Process?

We offer a Day – Trial Tester Account. The password will reset every morning. If you need an extension, just reach out the following morning. Is Apollo TV Canada legal?

Generally speaking, the use of IPTV services in Canada is legal, but the legality can depend on various factors, such as the content being accessed and how it is obtained.

Minimal Hardware and Requirements

• We recommend using an Android TV Box running minimum android os 11 for the best experience with our service.

• For Amazon Firesticks minimum of firestick 4k (2nd generation+) is required for best experience but we recommend the firestick 4k Max (2nd generation+) or above for best experience.

• Apple iOS devices minimum iOS 14 required.

Minimal Internet Speed

Please be aware that you must get a minimum of 20 Mbps bandwidth in order to use our service without interruptions.

Simply google speed test, before installation to ensure you have the basic requirements.

What Devices are not supported

Sorry we do NOT support the following devices/apps/media. Keep in mind, a fire stick or android box on any TV works.

Do I need a VPN

Overall most of our users do not use a VPN. We would though recommend using a VPN as a resolution, if technical support is unable to solve the issue. Currently, this has not happend! There is a potential for Internet service providers throttling and slowing down connections to our servers which leads to buffering and freezing issues you’re experiencing. This isn’t something that can be fixed from our end and can happen at anytime even if it worked perfectly for you without a VPN in the past.

Should I update the application?

Yes. This is how you will have the best performance, and to ensure you have access to the latest features. If there is an update, the application will prompt when you open the app. 

How can I add to 'My List' ?

My List; is organized by Movies (on demand); TV (on demand); Live TV.

-Movies (on demand): highlight the movie; hold the ‘enter’ button on controller, and the movie will be added to your list

-TV Shows (on demand): There is an option when you select the TV Show to, ‘add to My List’

-Live TV: highlight the TV Channel; hold the ‘enter’ button on controller, and the Channel will be added to your list

-TV Guide: highlight the TV Channel; hold the ‘enter’ button on controller, and the Channel will be added to your list

Forgot my Credentials

Simply email us, to recieve your credentials. Also once you sign in to your device, you will not need to re-enter your credentials

Can I run a speed test on the Apollo App

If you are experiencing any buffering issues. Please run a speed test by clicking your profile (top left link in your profile), then select, launch speed test. If still having issues, please email us a picture of your speed test. 

How do I change my time zone

To change the time zone in the Startup Show app go to Profile menu (top left icon) & you will see selected timezone GMT, change time using the -/+ for the desired time. Search Google for “what is my GMT” if you are unsure.

 

To change the Timezone using tivimate: Settings > TV Guide > TV Guide Sources > Choose Tv guide link > time offset.  Adjust to the desired time.

Cannot find my TV show

If your TV show has a poor IMBD rating, it may not be uploaded due to poor popular demand. If there is a request for a show (has a decent rating) please email us and we will request the show to be put on the platform

Can I change the default application language?

Yes. English, spanish, french, russian, hebrew and arabic 

What is an M3U link, that was sent along with my User Name and Password?

The M3U link, is essentially your account credentials for a third party video player, to access the Apollo Platform. A third-party player would be used for other devices, apart from the Amazon Firestick (that only requires and user name and password) Check check out, the different devices you can use on the installation page.

An M3U link refers to a type of file format used for multimedia playlists. Specifically, it’s a plain text file that contains information about the location of audio and video files, usually URLs, allowing media players to access and play the content listed in the playlist. In the context of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), an M3U link typically points to a playlist of streaming channels or content that can be accessed through compatible IPTV players or applications. Users can use these links to access IPTV services on various devices that support M3U playlists, such as media players, IPTV apps, and set-top boxes.

Different Player Options for Firestick/Android Devices

There are two recommended Applications that are available on the Firestick / Android Devices:

Start Up Show Application:

Clear Cache

Within the Apollo Group TV App / Start up Show: simply go into the settings menu. Then select, ‘Clear Cache’. 

Live TV or VOD Buffering

First clear the cache (info within FAQ as this should solve your issues).

Another solution to live TV/VOD buffering (due to very poor internet or limited capacity hardware) please change the Player Settings within the Apollo Group TV Application / Start Up Show Application.

2. Player Settings (either Live and/or VOD) to EXO to VLC or vice versa and check the content again.

Technical: Firestick

What are the models / Versions of Firestick?

There are 5 different models of the Firestick. The Device Hardware is probably the biggest factor for flawless performance. Older firesticks are limited in terms of performance, the latest firesticks are 3rd generation.

-Firestick Light (entry level – not recommended)

-Firestick (not recommended)

-Firestick 4K (minimal requirement)

Firestick 4K Max (suggested version): even if your TV is not a 4k it doesnt matter, as the processer is ideal for maximum performance. We strongly recommend this device.

Fire Cube: This is the ultimate device in terms of performance. This has the strongest processor out of all the Firestick products – but a 4K Max will definetly suffice.

How do I check my Firestick model?

How do I clear the Cache through the Firestick:

Devices such as firesticks are great devices but they require regular maintenance to perform at their best. Delete any unused to apps in order to ensure that ample storage is available on the firestick.

Note that, you can clear the cache within the settings of the Apollo Group TV Application. For the firestick, we recommend the steps below:
