February Update - 2.4.8
The updated version v2.4.8 of Apollo TV is now available. This update brings a visual overhaul to Live TV and addresses long-awaited features for subtitles.
Below is a breakdown of the new features and the current status of the On-Demand library.
1. New Live TV Interface
The channel list has been completely redesigned to be faster and clearer.
Rich Program Details: You can now see exactly what is playing and what is coming up next without losing sight of your current stream.
Smoother Navigation: The remote controls have been optimized. Use Up/Down for rapid channel switching and Left/Right to view the interface display.

2. Subtitles are Back (with Sync Control)
We know missing subtitles on VOD has been a frustration. Version 2.4.8 begins the process of restoring them.
New Sync Tool: If you use the VLC Player engine within the app, you now have a “Subtitles Delay” slider. This allows you to adjust the timing (+ or – seconds) to perfectly match the audio if the text is out of sync.

⚠️ Important: VOD Infrastructure & TV Series Upgrade
This version (2.4.8) is not just a visual update; it is a necessary step to support the massive backend server migration currently taking place to upgrade the entire Video-On-Demand system.
Current Infrastructure Status:
Movies: The migration for this section is largely complete. Regular updates are almost back on schedule and the library is stable.
TV Series: The platform has entered the final phase of the transition. The system is currently indexing the upgraded library. As this process concludes, the TV Series catalog will synchronize and expand daily.
💡 Tech Tip: EXO vs. VLC Player
With the introduction of new features, many users are asking which “Player Setting” is best (Settings > Player Settings).
General Recommendation (Stability): It is strongly recommended to leave the Default Player set to EXO. Testing confirms this engine currently offers the highest stability for the platform.
When to Switch (Features): The new Subtitle Sync tools are designed for the VLC engine. If subtitle timing needs adjustment for a specific movie, temporarily switch to VLC, or simply long-press the title and select “Play with VLC”.
